What does "Sakina" mean?
In Arabic, Sakina is the 'Spirit of Tranquility' or 'Peace of Reassurance'. Sakina is a word derived from the word "Sakun" which means peace, serenity & tranquility. I resonated with the words deeply as I connected to my spiritual roots and in my south Asian identity. My intention is to continue to welcome others from the BIPOC community into our safe space. Though everyone is welcome.

In counselling we develop a sense of safety, trust and support with empathy, compassion, kindness & dignity. Sakina is what I hope to create with my clients even if it's in the moment.

We don't need to be alone in our experiences.
"Take the first step in faith.
You don't have to see the
whole staircase, just take
the first step".
